2 Stars Does not live up to expectations
Don’t be fooled. Clean and Clear only wants you to think you’re cleaning your face and opening your pores with this product. Instead, this gritty slime clings to your face long after your shower ends and makes you feel even more oily before you started.
The “warming sensation” is actually somewhat uncomfortable and not something I looked forward to in using the product. I finally just gave up on it altogether and threw the whole tube away.
Pass this one by.
5 Stars Awesome Product
I began using this after Avon stopped selling there warming pore cleanser and fell in love with it. It warmed immediately and rubbed until all the little pebbles were smooth rinsed and my face felt so soft and fresh and healthy. I use it every day. Best product by far. I keep supply on hand in case Clean & Clear change product for some reason which would not be smart of them. Again excellent product
4 Stars agree and disagree with others
This scrub is the fiercest I have ever used. Clean & Clear calls it a “unique exfoliating scrub” and they’re not kidding. I love the large crystals and the intense warmth, though I would prefer the warmth linger for a minute. My face feels super-soft after using it, but some people (such as the previous reviewers) might say their face feels like it’s covered in a film. I think I have an explanation for this:
The primary ingredient in this warming scrub is called zeolite, a mineral with a micro-porous molecular structure. According to the Britannica Concise Encyclopedia, “The ease of movement of ions and water within the framework allows reversible dehydration and cation exchange, properties that are exploited in water softeners… among other uses.”
In other words, that “film” you feel is essentially soft water that’s been softened even more.
p.s.: The directions recommend you dry your hands so that the scrub doesn’t heat up before you put it on your face. It’s not a ploy to get you to waste time drying your hands.
p.p.s.: If super-soft water bothers you that much, use a harsh astringent like 70% or 91% isopropyl alcohol.
5 Stars Excellect product
This is one of my favorite face scrubs ever. I suffer from dry skin and this is the only product I’ve found that leaves my skin feeling soft, smooth, and moisturized. I recommend this to anyone with dry or combination skin. If I stop this product for even one day, my rough dry skin reappears. This product gives my skin a beautiful glow and makes it feel clean and moisturized all day. ( Now I never have to apply lotion anymore to my face, which sometimes causes breakouts for me) I love to use this scrub before applying my foundation because it goes on so perfectly now. I am really dissapointed that I cannot easily find this product in stores anymore.
5 Stars LOVE this stuff
I have tried so many different scrubs and face washes and nothing ever seemed to make a difference. I have combination oily dry skin and was always looking for something to wash my face but not dry it out. I tried Aveeno scrub most recently and it made my face soooo dry afterwards. Then I tried this product and LOVED it. I loved the warming feeling of the scrub, and though I was a little concerned with the feel of a ‘film’ after rinsing, it made my face SO soft and oil/flake free long afterwards!! I did not have that fimly feeling once my face was dry, just soft and moisturized. Maybe it should just be targeted for combination skin type because this product went beyond my expectations, I love it!!
